Rewind Films was formed during lockdown by Daniel Robinson, Roshni Patel and Harry Swaine.
Their collective passion for watching and creating darkly comic content has led them to create two short films during the COVID pandemic.

Harry Swaine
Cinematographer
As cinematographer and colourist, Harry loves how the amalgamation of light, colour and composition can convey narrative. This can range from natural light on zoom to a controlled set and cinema camera. He has recently found inspiration in British commercial cinematographers such as Ian Murray and Joel Honeywell.

SYNOPSIS

"Once i have an idea in my head not even he could get it out"
‘The Holes We Leave Behind’ tells the story of Tom Winsgrove, a recently widowed man who goes to extreme lengths to preserve the legacy of his late-husband. In a production that is ‘Talking Heads’ meets ‘Inside No 9’, the film delves into the deep trauma that our protagonist suffered from the loss of his husband and the dark consequences that follow.
By blending realism with suburban melodrama, the film aims to explore the pain and impulsive anger caused by grief while also offering itself as a short piece of entertaining escapism.

SYNOPSIS

In this satirical piece, three students struggle to adapt to the new challenges facing them after a national lockdown ceases production on their film project. Though starting out with good intentions, our characters slowly begin to realise that art may be imitating life… and visa versa.
This docu-drama is an experiment in pushing the darker aspects of lockdown filmmaking, blending the zoom template of ‘Staged’ with the bleaker undertones of ‘Inside No 9’.
